The Most Blinding Highlighter? | Ofra x Nikkie Tutorials Glazed Donut Highlighter

One of my weaknesses is highlighter. I can't do a full face of makeup without it. It takes my complexion from dull to glowy in seconds. I have many highlighters in my makeup collection in a variety of shades and formulas from the drugstore to high end. It's actually quite disturbing just how many I own. Despite having so many highlighters there's only one that I've been using persistently for the past year, the Ofra Cosmetics Glazed Donut Highlighter.

I had wanted this particular highlighter for the longest time. It was only when Beauty Bay had a huge percentage off all products on their site last year that I finally bit the bullet and bought it, and boy am I glad I did.

The Ofra Glazed Donut Highlighter is part of the Glow Baby, Glow Collection in collaboration with Nikkie Tutorials. She has many different highlighters in collaboration with Ofra such as Glow Goals, Beam the Haters, Space Baby and Cloud 9, but Glazed Donut was the one that stood out to me the most.

It comes housed within a sleek white compact with a magnetic closure and a mirror intact. I have another glazed donut highlighter in the original packaging and I have to admit I much prefer the new packaging. It looks simple but chic and a little bit more expensive. There is 10g of product which I think is a great amount. Most highlighters I've tried before usually have around 4/5g. For example, my Jouer Rose Quartz highlighter only has 4.5g worth of product and it retails for £19 so you're really getting a lot of bang for your bucks here.

The Glazed Donut Highlighter is quite possibly the most blinding highlighter I have ever used. It is a frosty white pearlescent shade with a warm champagne undertone and a metallic finish which is perfect for fair skin tones. It's one of the reasons why I like it so much. It's so difficult to find the perfect highlighter for my skin tone. The lightest highlighters usually look a little too dark on me.

The formula is just beautiful. It has a soft and creamy texture to it which makes application an absolute dream. When applied my skin almost looks wet which I love. It's a very pigmented and intense highlighter. It's certainly not subtle by any means(although you can apply with a light hand to achieve that).

With some highlighters I've used I've had to wet my brush to intensify it but you really don't need to with this. I apply the Glazed Donut Highlighter with my Real Techniques Setting Brush and it is opaque within a single swipe. As well as using it on my cheekbones I also like to apply it on the other areas where natural light hits the face such as the centre of my forehead, brow bone, chin, and I also like to use it in the inner corner of my eyes too to make my eyes appear bigger and brighter.

It lasts so well throughout the day. It is the last thing to wear off and I only notice it wearing off after around 9 hours. It is so impressive. It's my holy grail highlighter right now. I love it so much that I've recently purchased another two of them in the Beauty Bay sale to keep me stocked up.

I am yet to find another highlighter like this. No other highlighter in my collection compares to it. I also have another two highlighters from Ofra- Pillow Talk, and most recently Star Island which are such gorgeous shades. The formula is just impeccable that I had to have more. I will find it difficult to find anything better.

The Ofra x Nikkie Tutorials Glazed Donut Highlighter originally retails for £25 here on Beauty Bay but due to the current sale it's been reduced down to £12.50. Unfortunately it's sold out right now but you can keep checking back to see when it's in stock again.

Have you tried the Ofra x Nikkie Tutorials Glazed Donut Highlighter?
