My Favourite Nude Lip Combination

I'm not that girl that wears understated, natural makeup. Nah, that's just not me. My everyday makeup consists of a defined brow followed by bold eye makeup with flawless skin, a nude lip and plenty of highlighter. I've attempted to do subtle makeup several times but I have a habit of adding more and more product until it becomes the complete opposite of subtle. It just didn't work at all.

I love the drama on the eyes paired with a nude lip. A nude lip can be seen as playing it a little safe but I would choose that over a bright lip anyday. It's all I ever seem to wear lately. In fact, there's three nude lip products that I haven't stopped wearing lately. I haven't used anything else on my lips for months now. They are the perfect nude lip combination.
My Favourite Nude Lip Combination
The first thing I use is a lip liner- the Jouer Long-Wear Creme Lip Liner in Nude(£13.50) to be precise. My lips aren't entirely small, but they're not completely full either so a lip liner is a must to make my lips look more defined and a little bigger in size too. This liner is a lovely warm medium beige with a matte finish, however the formula appears to be quite smooth and creamy, making it so easy to glide along the lips without making any mistakes. It lasts for so long too. Well I'd give it a good 6-7 hours at least before you can see any fading. Even after a greasy breakfast and a cup of tea, the lip liner is still visible.

Secondly, I go in with my lipstick of choice, the Clinique Pop Lip Colour & Primer in Beige Pop(£17 £14.45). It is a pink toned nude with the most beautiful formula. It's so creamy(almost like butter) and it glides over the lips ever so smoothly, without emphasising lines. The shade is ever so wearable and it's completely opaque in one swipe. As it's quite a creamy formula it does fade slightly, especially after eating and drinking but it does leave a slight stain on your lips. This lipstick has been a favourite of mine for quite a few years now, and I think it will continue to be for years to come(as long as they don't discontinue it).

One product I never thought I would wear again is Lip Gloss. Yes, Lip gloss! It's been a while since I last used one as I didn't like the sticky mess my lips would become when wearing it. Luckily, I've found the perfect lip gloss which comes in the form of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Butterscotch(£17). It is a neutral peachy beige shade which suits my fair skin down to a t. It is opaque from the offset with a high shine colour. It's not sticky in the slightest either. In fact, it feels quite nourishing on my lips thanks to the lip oils within the formula. It also has a lovely vanilla scent to it which smells completely divine.

The end result is fuller, plumper lips which lasts for up to 6/7 hours. My lipgloss is the first to wear off, especially if I've been drinking or eating, and then the lipsticks comes off soon after, but the lip liner always stays in place throughout the whole 6/7 hours. I only need to reapply my lipstick and lipgloss at least once in the day, but that's only after drinking or eating.
