I seriously cannot believe how quick this year has gone. We are already in October and we are just a few weeks away from Halloween, and it's also only 77 days until Christmas too(not that I'm counting). I am sad to say goodbye to the warm weather we've been having. I certainly don't cope well in the Autumn, though I do love everything else that comes with it. The leaves falling off the trees, the cosy coats and scarves, and being able to cosy up under the blanket with a film on. I just love that.
September was one of my favourite months in terms of discovering new beauty products. Some have been favourites of mine for a while, but I've just not managed to share them with you yet.
I am ashamed to say I have a drawer full of just shower gels. I don't know what it is about them. Sometimes I just get carried away when I see my favourites are on special offer. Does anyone else do the same, or is it just me? Every couple of weeks I have a browse around my local Superdrug and Boots to see what's new in, and I spotted the new Limited Edition Imperial Leather Shower Gels. There were a few different scents but Let's Flamingle was the one that really drew me in. It is a bottle full of fruity goodness. It smells insane! It's fresh, fruity and leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft. The combination of Pink Lychee and Raspberry is just divine. I have a few bottles of it to keep me stocked up. I really don't want it to get discontinued. It's such a shame that it's only Limited Edition. It would be amazing if it became permanent.
I have always wanted to try the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer but it's so difficult to get a hold of. Well, in my shade at least. When I found out that the new Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer was a dupe for it, I grabbed it, in not one, but two different shades. I use the lightest shade C0.5 for my under eyes and C4 to cover up my blemishes(though I might need a lighter shade for that). It has such a lovely creamy consistency and it feels so lightweight on the skin but the coverage is incredible. I use a damp beauty blender to blend it out and it just looks flawless. For just £4 you really can't go wrong.
I have only had this little baby for just over a month and I am obsessed. I don't own very many eyeshadow palettes that hold pink and purple shades, even though I find that they're the colours that make my green eyes pop the most. That's the reason why I bought it, plus the swatches were popping! I just had to have it. I am so happy to say that I'm not disappointed in the slightest. There isn't a single eyeshadow in this palette that I dislike. The matte and metallic shades have incredible pigmentation, blend beautifully and I can create so many makeup looks with this palette too. It is so dreamy! The Modern Renaissance Palette will always be a favourite of mine, but for now, Norvina has taken it's place.
Now, I have a few Beauty Blenders in my stash. And no, I am not ashamed. Long gone are my foundation brushes. The Beauty Blender has taken their place, and it's been like that for quite a while too. I'm surprised I haven't sung it's praises on my blog just yet. I have the original pink version and the swirl version, and they work just the same. I use them damp rather than dry to help blend in my foundation and concealer, and sometimes my cream contour too. My skin has never looked so flawless since I started using a beauty blender for those purposes.
I'm not sure whether I've featured this particular liquid lipstick in a favourites of mine before but right now I just can't stop using it. It's the only lipstick I've been wearing lately. It's my perfect pale pink nude shade. It wears so well. It barely even budges after drinking or eating. The formula is just perfect, but what I really love is the colour. I have many different nude lipsticks in my collection but to me, this is one of a kind. I love it. I already have a back up just in case I run out.
