Seoulista Beauty Sheet Masks

I seem to have quite the obsession with face masks at the moment- sheet masks in particular. At least one night a week I like to catch up with my favourite shows on Netflix whilst also indulging in a relaxing soak in the bath with a sheet mask firmly on my face. It's the only time I really have to myself so I like to make the most of that.

I have tried a few sheet masks over the last year or so and while some of them have been hits with me, I've tried at least one or two that didn't quite hit the spot. There are many sheet masks on the market that seem to do nothing for the skin. Yes, they'd maybe moisturise the skin a little, but would they soothe my breakouts? brighten my skin? or possibly minimise my pores? Yes, sometimes, or not at all. Luckily the majority of sheet masks that I've tried out has worked for me.

Over the last few months I have been putting some new sheet masks to the test from Seoulista Beauty, a Korean skincare brand. Korea is well known for being the most innovative in skincare. They are several years ahead of the rest of the world in product development. How crazy is that?

Seoulista Beauty has a variety of sheet masks targeted towards different skin concerns. They are of salon quality, but you can use them in the comfort of your own home. I have had the pleasure of trying out six of their Instant Masks, four of which are for the face and two which are for the hands and feet.

The four for the face are:
  • Brightening Instant Facial- Naturally Derived Coconut Mask infused with Vitamin C and AHA's
  • Charcoal Detox Instant Facial- Naturally Derived Bamboo Mask infused with Charcoal and Volcanic Ash
  • Correct and Calm Instant Facial- Naturally Derived Coconut Mask infused with Witch hazel and Eucalyptus Leaf
  • Super Hydration Instant Facial- Naturally Derived Coconut Mask infused with Hyaluronic Acid
Each of the masks are Dermatologist tested and free from all the bad ingredients such as Parabens, Mineral Oil, Sulphates and Artificial Colour.

As for the instructions on how to apply the masks, they are printed out clearly on the back of the packaging with four individual steps to follow. They are all very simple to follow. All I have to do is cleanse my face as I usually would, unfold the mask and remove the protective film, then press the mask onto my face and peel off the outer layer of the mask and smooth it around my facial contours. The instructions for the Charcoal Detox Mask is a lot simpler- just cleanse, remove the mask and smooth onto the face. I then leave the mask on my face for 20 minutes as recommended so the serum can infuse into my skin. As soon as 20 minutes is over I then massage the rest of the remaining serum into my skin.

They are mostly all gel masks(except from the Charcoal Detox Mask) as opposed to the usual paper or tissue masks that are on the market at the moment. I have to admit I much prefer the gel masks over the latter. It has a lovely cooling sensation and I find that it adheres to the skin a lot better too.

I used this when my face went through a period of being dry in most areas of my face such as around my nose, in between my brows and on my cheeks. It was extremely hydrating and it made my skin look instantly plump, smooth and bright.

My skin isn't so bad in terms of acne breakouts as it used to be, but when my skin is at it's worse a face mask is a must have. I used this after I had Oscar and my skin started flaring up again. I put it down to hormones. The spots were visibly red and angry at the time but after using this, they looked more calm and reduced in colour and size. My complexion looked more even and it felt smoother too.
This is in no means a quick fix mask in terms of fading and repairing dark spots and pigmentation, but it sure does a great job. I have acne scars from previous breakouts from years ago and I can see a visible difference in the colour and appearance after using this. If anything they blend quite well into the freckles I have, haha. It makes my skin look much healthier and brighter too, which is exactly what it should do.

This is yet another mask that is perfect for blemish prone skin. It is a black bamboo mask as opposed to a gel mask like the others. It clings to the skin rather nicely without any fear of it falling off, even when I am walking around the house. It cleanses, hydrates and minimises the appearance of my pores, as well as evening out my skin tone and removing any impurities.

There wasn't a single sheet mask that I disliked. I found that each and every one of them had contributed something to my skin, and made a difference. The best part of all is that they're not fussy to use and it gives you instant results.

You can find them all here, priced at just £7.99 each, which I personally think is a great price!

As I mentioned before, as well as the Instant Facial Masks, Seoulista Beauty also have masks for the hands and feet, the Rosy Hands Instant Manicure, and the Rosy Feet Instant Pedicure.

The Rosy Feet Instant Pedicure was my favourite of the two. It is a double layered foot mask which is infused with rose oil, aloe vera and beeswax. You can pop it in the fridge for a more invigorating experience or leave it as it is. I took it out of the packaging, applied them straight to my feet as if they were socks and strapped them securely into place using the paper strap. I then rested my feet and allowed the serum to sink in within 30 minutes. As soon as 30 minutes was over, I rubbed the rest of the serum into my feet. They instantly felt softer and more moisturised. It felt like a luxurious spa treat.
The Rosy Hands Instant Manicure is a double layered hand mask infused with Bulgarian rose oil, beeswax, antioxidants and vitamin C to heal, protect and hydrate. Again, I applied them straight to the hands(they're like gloves) and strapped them into place with the paper strap. They were a little too big for my hands so it felt like I couldn't do much with them on while the serum was doing its job for 30 minutes. The results were fabulous though. My hands were a lot softer and smoother after using it, and the rose scent was divine.

Both of these masks also retail for £7.99 which is very affordable considering you could get the same treatment for more money, should you wish to visit a spa.

Have you tried the Seoulista Sheet Masks before?
