July Beauty Favourites

Yet again, I missed another monthly beauty favourites. I combined my April and May favourites and completely forgot about June. In my defence June was one hell of a month. I had just given birth to Oscar in the beginning of June and since then it's just been manic. I've barely had any time for myself, but that comes with being a mum of three boys under the age of four. I wouldn't change it for the world though. The only time I really have to myself is when the boys are in bed so I like to take advantage of that free time to just relax, which is why I haven't blogged consistently for a while. I've just been lacking the motivation. I've been binge watching shows on Netflix instead. Speaking of Netflix, please share some recommendations on what I should watch next. I've just finished How to Get Away with Murder(which is so bloomin' good fyi) and I've recrntly caught up with OITNB too.

Anywaaaay.. moving on. Here are my favourite beauty products throughout July!
July Beauty Favourites 2018
First up is this cute little kit called the Pixi & ASPYNOVARD Eye Accents(£16). It includes the Pixi Lower Lash Mascara and Clear Brow Gel. I actually picked this up for £10 at my local TK MAXX store which was quite the bargain. A saving of £6 is pretty good, right? I was most intrigued by the lower lash mascara as I haven't got a whole lot of mascaras that I can work with on my lower lashes. I thought perhaps the fact the wand is skinnier and smaller than most would make it easier for me to use. And of course I was right! It does a fab job at separating the lower lashes whilst also making them appear longer. I am also weirdly sensitive to eye makeup too. No idea how or why but one of my eyes always waters, but this mascara is waterproof so I don't have to worry about it running or transferring. There's not much I can say about the Clear Brow Gel except that it keeps my brows in place all day, as it should. It doesn't make them feel stiff or anything. If anything they feel quite soft, as if I don't have anything on them.

I have an obsession with body mists lately. I have quite a collection of them on my Alex Drawers at the moment. My favourite one at the moment is the Body Fantasies Signature Sweet Pea Body Spray(£1.98). I have kept this in my handbag ever since I bought it and I spritz it as and when I feel like it. It's really fruity but also quite fresh and light too which I love. I think I may need to stock up when I can as this particular scent always seems to be out of stock when I go into Superdrug. It seems to be quite popular.

I rarely ever talk about makeup brushes, never mind feature them in a favourites post but I have really been loving the *Crownbrush Deluxe Precision Detail Brush(£6.49). It can be used for multiple purposes- to smoke out the lower lash line, to highlight and define the crease. I have been using it mainly for highlighting my brow bone and the inner corner of my eyes. The brush is small and dense enough to fit into those smaller crevices. It's the only brush I use for that purpose now.

I ran out of my beloved Pixi Glow Tonic over a month ago but I wanted to try a cheaper alternative. I read so many good things about the Superdrug Natural Radiant Glycolic Toner(£5.99 £2.95) so I thought it was worth trying out. My god is this good! I use it in the morning and night before moisturising and it rids my skin of any dryness, brightens my complexion and completely evens out my skins texture too, just as the Glow Tonic does. It has quite a refreshing scent to it too which is lovely.

Now, you know I love a good liquid lipstick right? And chocolate too? Well L'Oreal combined those two together and came out with the L'Oreal Paris Les Chocolats Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks(£8.99), which, of course smells like chocolate. Sweet, yummy, gooey chocolate... It's almost scary how delicious it smells. I almost want to eat it. Anyway, I picked two different shades up from the range when it first launched- a paler, peachier nude, and a pinky nude. Almost everytime I've gone out I've been using the latter- a pinky nude by the name of Candyman. Isn't that a cute name? I think so. It's such a gorgeous shade, and it's incredibly long lasting too. I don't find that I have to top it up at all, even after eating or drinking. Its' incredible.

And lastly is a brow product. I rarely ever change up my eyebrow routine(you can read my eyebrow routine here), so I wanted to change it up a little. I bought the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil(£10.50) in a travel size to test it out before I even thought about purchasing the full size. I replaced it with my beloved ABH Brow Wiz and it's been wonderful to work with. It has a waxy, creamy texture which makes it easy to fill in the sparse areas of my brows and the shade is a perfect match to my hair too. I have it in the shade Medium Brown which is actually quite light and ashy in tone so it doesn't clash with my recently dyed blonde hair.

And that's all folks for this month. My god, it's been quite a good month in terms of favourites. I've been trying so many new things rather than sticking to the same things all the time. I'm actually quite proud of myself actually, haha.

What have you been loving in July?
