NIA(Not into Aging) Skincare Review

For the last few months now I've been trying out some new skincare from a brand I had never tried, nor heard of before called NIA(Not into Aging). They are an American brand which is currently stocked in Macy's and Ulta, and has only just made it's way to UK shores.

They produce a number of products which not only help to prevent the signs of early aging but are also made specifically to combat the stressors and effects of daily life, from sleeping in your makeup(which I've done multiple times, I'm ashamed to say) to late nights, hangovers and even looking down at your phone.

Every product within the collection is formulated with the patented ingredient, NIA-114, a smart molecule that improves the effectiveness of other ingredients, strengthens the skin's moisture barrier and adds some radiance back into the skin.

NIA currently have six products in their collection, but I have been trying out three of them, the Fully Charged Serum x Moisturizer, Sunday Detox Mask and the Glow on Demand Energizing Illuminator.

First up is my favourite of the three, the Fully Charged Serum x Moisturizer(£33). I loved it so much that I featured it in my February Beauty Favourites here. It is a serum infused moisturizer which is packed with some wonderful ingredients such as Hyaluronic-Amino Complex(to hydrate and support the skin barriers function), Dragon Fruit Extract(to minimize the signs of aging), Wild Indigo Extract(fights dullness and adds some glow into the skin), and finally, Plankton Extract and Lecithin(to nourish). I use at least 2-3 pumps of it morning and night, which is more than enough product as it covers the whole of my face and neck. It has a light, gel formula which absorbs into the skin within seconds, making my skin feel super soft, smooth and seriously hydrated. It doesn't have a greasy feel to it at all. In fact it has a certain tackiness to it, making it the perfect moisturizer to apply before makeup as foundation sticks to it quite easily.

Next in line is the Sunday Detox Mask(£30), a whipped clay peel-off mask which turns into a foam when dispensed out of the can. It goes on nice and smoothly, although I did find that I need quite a few pumps of it to cover my entire face as it does apply quite thin. I leave it to set for the recommended time(10-15 minutes) and during that time it doesn't make my face feel uncomfortable or tight at all. In fact it is quite the opposite, which I like. When it comes to the peel off process, it is a little difficult, though it's not painful in the slightest(which seems to be the case with other peel off masks I've tried). It doesn't fully peel off as one which means removal takes a little longer than usual. After it's fully removed my pores look slightly smaller and my skin looks like it's been given a new lease of life. It looks glowing, fresh and it feels soft to the touch.

And lastly is the Glow on Demand Energizing Illuminator(£27). It is the ultimate pick me up. Whenever my skin is looking a bit lacklustre(which is most of the time as a run-down pregnant woman/mother of two) I always seem to run(or waddle in my case) to this. It has a gel-like texture to it and it also includes light reflecting pigments which makes my face look much brighter, as if I have a natural glow. It is wonderful but I only tend to use it on no makeup days as I don't find it sits very well underneath my base.

Overall I have thoroughly enjoyed trying them all out. I haven't had an issue with any of them which I love. I am now intrigued to try more from them. You can currently purchase the skincare range from Harvey Nichols.

Have you tried anything from NIA before?
