The Best of Beauty 2017 | Body and Fragrance

Well, I expected this post to be up just before January ended but it didn't go according to plan as I got struck down by a cold, again, for like the hundredth time. Not overreacting of course, haha. As I mentioned previously I won't be doing a January favourites as I was super late on the 'Best of Beauty' bandwagon, but I'm determined to stick to monthly favourites this year. I was all over the place last year and only had at least one or two of my monthly favourites posts go live which I'm so disappointed about. They are one of my favourite posts to write, and I like reading other peoples too. In fact, after reading them my wishlist only get's longer. Hopefully I will actually be sticking to it this time, eh?

Anyway, let's get to it shall we? This is my final instalment of the Best in Beauty of 2017, rounding up all of my favourite fragrances and body products. So what was I loving?
The Best of Beauty 2017 Body and Fragrance
I wasn't going to include these as they are pretty basic and an essential in everyday life. Yep, I'm talking about shower gel. I buy way too many of them, even when I don't particularly need them. I swear I have a drawer full of just shower gels/creams/milks. It became quite an obsession last year. I could never seem to resist it when they were on offer. It's not a crime to want to smell your best is it?

As I was saying, I have so many shower gels in my stash, but the ones that I was using more than most were the Original Source Shower Milks and the Imperial Leather Shower Creams. There is a wide variety of different flavours/scents to choose from and I tried so many of them. I loved each and every single one I tried too.

My favourite scent from the OS Shower Milk range is Green Banana and Bamboo Milk(£1.95). It smells so sweet and the scent lingers on the body for quite a while after using it, plus it feels quite lightweight and moisturising on the skin too. My body felt so soft and smooth after using it. As for the Imperial Leather Shower Creams, I have way too many favourites. There is Foamy Banana, Comforting Marshmallow, Strawberry and Vanilla. My list could go on, but the one that I really enjoyed was the Uplifting Sherbet Lemon Shower Cream(£1). It gives you quite the pick me up you need in the morning. It's a very fresh but zingy scent which I love.

And lastly for body is the Zoella Jelly and Gelato Shower Shake(£6). Yes, I realise its another shower cream, but I don't really use it as an overall body wash. I mainly use it for shaving. It cleanses the skin well whilst moisturising at the same time, making shaving so much easier. I notice I don't seem to get many nicks or cuts in my skin when I use it, it's fab. I didn't realise there was quite so much I could say about shower gels, but you know, they do the job, haha. You can find out more about it here.

Now onto fragrance, my perfume of choice throughout 2017 was Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium(£50.50, now £42.90). I am so terrible at describing scents but it is very deep, dark and sensual fragrance with a hint of sweetness with the vanilla in the heart of the fragrance. It's really a beautiful scent, and perfect for all year round, but I mainly choose to wear this on a special occasion(which is very rare) or on a day where I want to feel my very best. I have a small 30ml bottle of it which seems to have lasted me a long time, but I want to upgrade to a bigger bottle once it's gone.

And lastly is the Victoria Secret Pure Seduction Body Mist(£12). I absolutely love VS Body Mists but I was absolutely loving this scent. I got it maybe just towards the end of 2017, but I was spritzing it daily, I couldn't get enough of it. It's a very fruity and sexy scent. It's just ah, divine. I find myself spritzing this all over myself just before bed, and even when I wake up too. Honestly, if you haven't tried a VS body mist, you're missing out.

What were your favourite body and fragrance products of 2017? I'd love to know!
