A Christmas Gift Guide for Her

We are nearly at the end of November which brings us that little bit closer to Christmas Day. Can you believe that? I can't. The year has gone by with a blink of an eye. Has anyone got their Christmas decorations up yet? I have. There are  lights on the windows, a blow up Santa and Reindeer and we even have a cute little light up reindeer outside of the house. We have gone all out this year with the decorations. The whole family has got into the Christmas spirit rather early. We've even got our Christmas tree up too. Alfie helped me with the tree decorations which was so cute. I'm so glad he's at that age where he is starting to understand and appreciate Christmas. He is getting so excited for it. Once payday arrives at the end of the month we will hopefully be finished with our present shopping too. We started all the Christmas shopping back in September so we could be finished in time for the day. Last year we started so late which we totally regret. Rushing around the shops two weeks before the big day wasn't fun at all.
A Christmas Gift Guide for Her
Speaking of present shopping, are you out of ideas? Because I have a few little ideas for Her, whether it's your sister, girlfriend, fiancee, wife etc. Of course, with me being a beauty lover most of these ideas are beauty related(durh!). Hopefully this will come in handy to you!

Everyone loves cake right? I sure do. The *Letterbox Gift Cake from bakerdays(£14.99) is a lovely way of wishing your loved one(s) a Merry Christmas. There are so many different designs to choose from but my personal favourite is this adorable Pug themed cake. You can personalise it with your own choice of words, and you can also choose from a variety of different flavours too such as the Lovely Lemon Drizzle, Traditional Sponge, Fabulous Fruit, Dairy Free Sponge, Gluten Wheat Free Sponge and Rich Chocolate Chip. I had the pleasure of trying the traditional sponge which is just utterly delicious. Myself, Alfie and Josh had a slice each and we were left wanting more.

Something that is just a teeny bit on the pricey side is a lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury. There are a few different lipstick ranges with various finishes so it's really up to that persons preference. I personally love the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick in Bitch Perfect(£24). It's the perfect peachy nude for even the palest of skin tones. It glides ever so comfortably onto the lips, making them feel soft and hydrated all day long. As it's not a matte finish it doesn't particularly stay in place for a long period of time though so it will need a few touch ups, but like I said there is always the option of choosing from the other lipstick ranges; Matte Revolution and Hot Lips.

Out of all the palettes I own, the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette is the perfect all rounder, with a huge variety of shades including purples, blues, greens, oranges etc. There is pretty much every shade you'd possibly need inside to create a beautiful eye look. It's certainly not cheap, but it's not too expensive either. If the person you're buying for likes to be really creative with their eye makeup then this may be exactly what they want/need.

The Real Techniques 6 Miracle Complexion Makeup Sponge set(£19.99 £14.99) includes 6 different sponges for separate purposes such as foundation application, sculpting and erasing makeup mistakes. It is a cute little set, and I find the sponges to be of very good quality too. I'm sure any makeup lover would appreciate this, especially if they're not a fan of foundation brushes like me.

Yes, yes, I chose another slightly pricey lipstick, but from an entirely different brand. The Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks(£20) are among the best that I've tried, hands down. There is a huge array of shades and the texture and finish is pretty much perfect. I have quite a collection of them. In typical Lauren fashion, the shade in the photo is of course another nude. You just cannot go wrong with a nude lipstick. The shade in question is Naked, which is yet another peachy nude, but of a different finish compared to the CT lipstick. If the person you're gifting loves a matte liquid lipstick then this is surely a good option, right?

Onto fragrances, the *So...? Dark Romance Fragrance(£5.99 £2.99) is a fab option. It is a very sexy, sensual scent with a slight darkness to it, which is quite suitable for all or most ages. It is so wonderful. If that's not the kind of scent you're looking for then there are also some other scents from So...? which you might just prefer.

Another option are the Body Fantasies Body Sprays(£3.99 £1.50). There are many different ones to choose from. I have two, Vanilla Kiss and Pink Grapefruit, both of which smell insanely gorgeous. They are relatively small in size(94ml) but they last a rather long time. These can even be used/bought as a stocking filler rather than as a 'main' present.

If you're not looking to spend £20+ on a salon manicure then the *Kiss imPRESS Nails(£7.99 £5.32) are perfect. They're essentially fake nails that you 'press on' and they stay in place for a good couple of days before breaking off. You don't even need a strong glue to keep them in place as they have a patented dual-layered adhesive to make them stay put for a long period of time. Again, you can use these as a stocking filler too.

Last but not least is the *Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara(£19.50 £17.55). I don't want to say too much as I have a review up on it soon but it's definitely one for those that prefer clump-free, separated, long lashes without the excessive volume. The packaging alone is enough to pull anyone in. It certainly pulled my sister in when she went through my makeup stash, haha.

So, there we go, those are my top picks for 'Her' this year. I hope I at least helped some of you if you're struggling for ideas. I'm lucky in the respect that both of my sisters are beauty lovers, phew. They're not too difficult to buy for, thankfully.

Seeing as it's Black Friday most of my picks are actually discounted so now is the time to get them at a cheaper price than you usually would. Grab some bargains and save some pennies!
