L'Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water Liquid Care

Ever since I gave birth two months ago, my skin has gone back to it's usual state which I hugely dislike. Throughout the last few months of my pregnancy my face was clear, spot-free and glowing, but lately it's been looking dull and I have had breakouts popping up left, right and centre, thanks to the change in my hormones, urgh. To help get my skin back in order I've been trying out some new moisturisers, one of which is the L'Oreal Paris Hydra Genius Liquid Care.

I haven't tried much in terms of skincare from L'Oreal, but I absolutely love their Pure Clay Masks. I was so intrigued to try this out as it's so different to any other moisturiser I have tried before.

There are three different types of the Aloe Water which cater for different skin types: Normal to Combination Skin, Dry and Sensitive Skin and Normal to Dry Skin. I have the Aloe Water that is targeted towards those with Normal to Combination Skin as I have Combination Skin. I am mainly oily in my t-zone but I also have dry patches between my brows, around my nose and cheeks.

The Hydra Genius Aloe Water is enriched with two ingredients, Aloe Water to reduce inflammation and hydrate, and Hyaluronic Acid to retain moisture. Hyaluronic Acid naturally occurs within our skin and just one molecule of it can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water.

What makes this moisturiser entirely different to others I've tried is the formula and density. It's not necessarily watery, nor is it too heavy either. It has a very light gel consistency which I quite enjoy. I apply it both day and night, sometimes after applying the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-Tox Serum if my skin is really dehydrated. The Aloe Water has a 72 hour recharge which means that over the course of 72 hours your skin will continously be saturated with moisture too which means you won't need to reapply over the next few days. Admittedly I still do it 'just in case'.

Once applied it feels very light on the skin and my skin drinks it up in record time. It feels rather refreshing(and smells it too!) and has a cooling effect on the skin too which I can appreciate, especially on a hot day, like it's been most days lately. Hurrah for Summer! It makes my skin feel extra soft and it adds a lovely luminous glow to my skin too.

I just cannot get enough of the stuff! It smells so bloomin' good and it's an absolute joy to use come morning and night. It works an absolute dream! I will undoubtedly be repurchasing again once I run out. With it only costing £9.99 you really can't go wrong, plus it doesn't tug on the ol' purse strings either which is good news.

Have you tried the L'Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water Liquid Care?
