Dr Botanicals Cocoa Noir Time Reverse Facial Serum

Ever since I introduced a serum into my skincare routine, my skin has just been drinking it up, and I truly believe that my skin has got better for using it too. I have tried many serums and oils over the course of the year for different purposes but sadly I haven't managed to find one that is my 'holy grail' so to speak. The serum I have been trying out lately is the Dr Botanicals Cocoa Noir Time Reverse Facial Serum. I have only ever tried one of their products before, the Advanced 8-Hour Overnight Renewal Cream, and I absolutely loved it, so I was so excited to try this out.
Dr Botanicals Cocoa Noir Time Reverse Facial Serum
The Cocoa Noir Time Reverse Facial Serum has been formulated to make sure that your complexion stays looking fresh-faced and nourished. It contains a blend of three botanical ingredients, Geranium Flower Oil, Seabuckthorn Fruit Oil and Neroli Oil. The Geranium Flower Oil helps to even out your skin tone, whilst plumping and firming the skin, Seabuckthorn Fruit Oil adds some moisture into the skin and reduces inflammation, whilst Neroli Oil improves the skin's flexibility and combats acne.

The serum comes with a dropper, which is my favourite way to apply a serum or oil. I simply squeeze at least two-three drops into my hands and apply it straight to my face, massaging it into my skin at first, then tapping it in to ensure it's sinked into the skin. A little really goes a long way.

It has a thin, oily texture and it sinks ever so quickly into the skin too, which I assume to be a good thing as you can always apply it before makeup, as well as at night. It gives my skin a good base for my foundation to stick to. After it's sinked in it leaves my face feeling a little bit tacky but that soon goes after about 5-10 minutes. It certainly gives my skin a huge boost of hydration, but it doesn't feel greasy which I love. Some serums can feel quite heavy and look oily and shiny, but this particular serum makes my skin look radiant. It also has a very subtle coconut scent which is just divine. I'm sure I've told you many times before that I'm not usually a fan of anything coconut scented, but this is so light and not overpowering in the slightest. I love it!

I sometimes use the serum before makeup application but I mainly use it within my night time skincare regime as I feel like I can see better results upon waking up in the morning. My skin looks much more brighter and it feels so much softer too. It is really a wonderful serum.

Unfortunately as with every Dr Botanicals product, it is a little on the pricey side, costing £29. I do really like the results that the serum gives but it's just a little too much money for me to spend on a serum, however if it's on offer at anytime I will certainly purchase another when I run out.
