Ooh! Oils of Heaven Face Oils

My skincare routine consists of two cleansers, a skin treatment for my acne, a moisturiser and most recently face oils. I was actually quite worried about trying face oils beforehand as I thought they would perhaps break me out even more and clog my pores, but that is said to be a myth. For the last couple of months I have been trying out three different face oils from Oils of Heaven alternatively and seeing how they react to my skin. I honestly have nothing but good things to say about them.

Before we get to the nitty gritty let's focus on the brand. It is a new discovery for me and I absolutely love their ethics. Oils of Heaven is a brand that scours the world to find the most effective beauty oils, sourcing them from small local suppliers in order to give the people within the community the best livelihood. It's wonderful and so admirable that a brand like this can make such a difference to others lives.

As I mentioned before I have been trialling three different facial oils, the Natural Cacay Anti-Aging Face Oil, Organic Rosehip Cell-Regenerating Face Oil and Organic Moringa Anti-Oxidant Oil. They each come within a reasonably sized 30ml glass bottle containing a basic dropper applicator which makes it easier to apply the right amount to the face without going overboard. Each one of the oils have the exact same consistency and they also don't have any scent to them, so if you find that fragrance acts as an irritant to your skin then you'll perhaps enjoy these. You can apply them either once or twice a day but I prefer to use a facial oil within my skincare regime just before I pop off to bed. I don't think they are ideal to apply in the daytime before makeup application as they're not exactly light on the skin. They can look and feel a little oily on the skin but they sink into the skin rather quick leaving absolutely no residue come morning. Each one of them are so hydrating too which is positive for my skin when it's drying out this A/W.

The Natural Cacay Anti-Aging Face Oil of course contains Cacay oil, which is cold pressed from wild Cacay nuts harvested in the Columbian jungle. Oils of Heaven is the first to use Cacay oil as a facial oil. Studies show that it contains 50% more vitamin E and twice the amount of linoleic acid than argan oil as well as three times more retinol than rosehip oil. Now this all sounds rather promising and especially pleasant to the skin, especially if your aim is towards preventing aging. As a 22 year old I feel like preventing aging is so much better than treating it when you've already got to the point of having fine lines and wrinkles.

The Organic Rosehip Cell-Regenerating Face Oil is also cold pressed but from wild Rosehip seeds. If you're unsure of the history of Rosehip Oil then I'll give you the lowdown. It contains vitamin A and vitamin K, and is also rich in fatty acids such as linoleic acid, linolenic acid and oileic acid which play a huge part in regenerating tissue and healing scars and stretchmarks. I have stretchmarks on various areas on my body, especially my thighs and boobs since giving birth to Alfie. Stretchmarks aren't much of a big deal to me since they're a reminder of my amazing pregnancy journey I went on with Alfie but it's acne scarring that gets to me the most. I have had acne scarring for a while now and it dents my confidence but I feel that since I've started using this oil it has started to perhaps make them less noticeable. I love this.

And finally the Organic Moringa Anti-Oxidant Face Oil. Moringa Oil is rich in vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids. It contains antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properies which help to heal a collective of skin concerns such as acne scarring and can also be used as a spot treatment too. The main benefit of it is to relieve the sign of aging. It is absolutely wonderful.

I am happy to say that I am now fully converted to face oils. I have had absolutely no reaction to any of the facial oils which is a massive plus as that was my main concern because of my acne-prone skin. They have in fact added a massive boost of moisture and helped towards ridding my skin of dry patches and acne scarring. I love them! If you are looking for a new facial oil to try I highly recommend that you take a look at Oils of Heaven.

The prices are different across the three with the Natural Cacay Anti-Aging Oil being £39 compared to the others which are £19.

Have you tried the Ooh! Face Oils?
