Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

How the heck have we managed to get through yet another year so quickly? It's completely baffling. This year has been a rollercoaster ride, there's been ups and downs(mostly ups). This month has especially been busy, what with all the birthdays and then Christmas. Alfie turned the big 1 two days ago, it's crazy. I'm quite disappointed that it's all over so quickly but we're ready to start another exciting year. I hope you all had an amazing christmas. I would love to know how you spent your day.

Anyway, let's put that aside. As I have a combination skin type I always find myself touching up my makeup during the day which I absolutely dislike and so I now stick to  makeup setting sprays. I have tried various different setting sprays with two of my favourites being the Pixi Makeup Setting Spray and MAC Fix Plus.

After reading many raved reviews about the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray I decided upon giving it a go too. It is available in a travel sized version as well as a full size and I opted for the travel sized version. Considering it only costs just £9 for a smaller version, it isn't too bad. A full size would usually cost around £21. It's a great option if you just want to try it out first before going full steam ahead with a full size. It's much safer that way. It won't pull on your purse strings.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray
The All Nighter Spray is packaged within a small white 30ml bottle with a purple lid popped on the top. It's completely oil free(which is a good sign for the acne-prone), free of parabens and also has temperature control technology, meaning it keeps your makeup intact whether it's through the wind, rain or the hot summer weather.

It's super light when spritzed onto the face and quickly sinks into the skin, leaving makeup looking completely, dare I say it, flawless and smooth. Literally untouched, it's a bold statement I know but so true. It doesn't move an inch, no caking, no streaking and it made my makeup last a very long shift at work, We're talking 9am until midnight, although you could see signs of it wearing off by 10ish.

If I'm honest it's not my absolute favourite setting spray but it's worth giving it a go. As I have the travel size it's not surprising that it didn't last me as long. It survived at least 2 weeks I think, possibly longer. It really surprised me.

You can purchase it here from Debenhams for £9.00.

I hope you all have an amazing new years eve and day! I shall see you all in the New Year with my first blog post of 2016.

Have you tried the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray? What are your thoughts?

My Newest Makeup Additions

For the last couple of weeks, possibly months, I've barely spent a penny on makeup which is quite strange for me, I used to make a trip to Boots on a weekly basis and take forever browsing through all the beauty aisles, whereas now it's very rare I get to do this. However, after the break of makeup shopping I did make a stop into Boots a few weeks ago with news that a product I had been waiting for to become available in the UK was in stock.

Normally I would go a bit over the top when shopping but this time was different, with Christmas being just weeks away(at the time) I was very strapped for cash after all the gift buying and so I only came away with two products as opposed to the masses of beauty products that I normally would pick up.
My Newest Makeup Additions
The product that I was looking forward to picking up was the Maybelline Blush Nudes Palette. I took a liking to it once I seen it popping up all over my Instagram and I knew I had to have it. Of course the US had it first and it reached the UK shores months later after it's US release. I am pleasantly surprised by this eyeshadow palette, it's super girly with a mix of light and warm nude shades, from a pale pink to a shimmery bronze. I am so so glad I got it. It will undoubtedly be featured on it's own within the coming weeks. It's love. It costs just £9.99 which is inexpensive to me considering the majority of the eyeshadow palettes I own costs £30 upwards.

I absolutely love a good contour and I'm always looking for the next big thing to my favourite Benefit Hoola Bronzer, that's much more budget friendly. I spotted the Collection Contour Kit and was instantly drawn to it. It has a golden highlighter on the left and a slightly matte warm toned contour shade on the right which I love. I haven't given it a try as of yet but I'm looking forward to giving it a go. It's cheap as chips too, priced at £4.19(currently £3.99).

Have you added any new makeup to your collection recently?

Christmas Gift Guide | Non Beauty

Okay, so now is the time where people are probably whizzing around town panicking on what to buy for their siblings, partners and so on. It's only two days away until the big day and it can get pretty stressful if you've still got some presents to buy. After compiling my beauty gift guides I thought we could move on to the final gift guide featuring non-beauty, from home to fashion and other little bits and pieces. I think it's good to have a whole variety of gifts.

As it's super close to Christmas it is highly unlikely you will get anything that you order online now in time for Christmas, but just in case, I've included the links to said items in this gift guide. You can take a look at my previous beauty gift guides here and here.
Non Beauty Christmas Gift Guide
A candle is a must, although it is kinda in the beauty territory. There are a lot of candle brands out there, both in the higher end and high street. One brand that is much loved by many is Yankee Candle. There is a huge range of scents and I find the Christmas candles to be the best of the bunch. You can get them in a small, medium or large jar, and you can even get some tea lights, votives or wax melts too. Two particular scents that I find screams Christmas is Christmas Cookie and Snowflake Cookie. As you can imagine they are both sweetly scented, they smell like freshly baked, sugar coated cookies. Seriously delicious. They have a great scent throw off too. You can take a look at the whole range of christmas candles here at Yankee Candle or you can even find them in your local Clinton Cards store too.

On the slightly expensive side are the Frends Layla Rose Gold Headphones. I think the headphones speak for themselves. They are so so pretty and yeah, they may be a little pricey at £140 but they're definitely worth it. I actually kinda want them myself now, haha. They are available here from Urban Outfitters or take a peek in store.

A new purse is always welcome, especially one from Kate Spade. This Glitter Bug Lacey Purse is absolutely stunning. It comes in three colours, a green, blue and Rose but I think the rose one is the best of the three. Again, this is up there in the higher end, priced at £140(currently £98 in the sale). It's a very luxurious gift so its best gifted towards someone who you know will appreciate it.

One adorable novely item that makes a great stocking filler is the Rudolph Heat Changing Mug. Whenever the mug is filled with hot water it changes Rudolphs nose from black to red. How cute is that? It's super inexpensive too, pricing at just £9.

Jewellery is a very special gift to be given on Christmas Day. It doesn't matter how much you spend though, it's the thought that counts. Rose gold is very popular at the moment and the Buckley Rose Gold Plated Stone Set Heart Necklace is seriously beautiful. It will add a lot of sparkle into anyones life. It's priced at £25 which is quite surprising as it looks like it could be worth twice that(I have one myself). Buckley has their own website and is currently stocked at H Samuel too. It's worth taking a look in H Samuel if you have a local store. You can take a look at it here on the H Samuel website too.

With it nearing the end of the year and the beginning of another, now would be the best time to start a new diary. If you know of someone that maybe needs to get themselves organised or likes to be then it's the perfect gift. There are a whole lot of lovely designs of diaries out there but the Repeat Floral Small Leather 2016 Diary is so pretty. It's available from Paperchase and costs a reasonable £12.

During these cold winter months it's always important to stay warm and toasty, and let's face it, everyone loves a good cosy pair of slippers. That's where these wonderful Suede Mules come in. They look so cosy and comfortable, however they are a little on the pricey side at £45 from Next.

Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? Is there anything on this gift guide that's caught your eye?

Christmas Gift Guide | Beauty between £20 and £50

Oh, the Christmas countdown is so exciting! There's only a week now until Christmas! And I've still got a little bit more Christmas shopping to do and then I'm done. I'm determined not to be one of those last minute shoppers on Christmas Eve. Has anyone done this before? I need to get more organised.

However, some of you may be in the same boat. I know some family members and girlfriends can be pretty picky and difficult to buy for so I've put together another gift guide featuring beauty over £20. If you're not looking to be particularly spendy then you can take a look at my previous gift guide, beauty under £10 here.
Christmas Beauty Gift Guide
First up is the Liz Earle Christmas Cleanse & Polish Skincare Gift Set, featuring Liz Earle's most popular product, the classic Cleanse and Polish in a 150ml size, complete with two pure muslin cloths. The Cleanse and Polish is encased in the most beautiful, festive Christmas keepsake drum. It would make a fantastic gift for any skincare enthusiast. You can purchase it from John Lewis for £20.75.

The Urban Decay 24/7 Set of 5 Delirious is loaded with 5 travel sized 24/7 glide-on eye pencils in a variety of shades, from a deep purple to a metallic green and a nude brown. Four of the shades are completely new shades too. The pencils are super pigmented and as the name suggests, glide on so smoothly as the formula is so creamy. It is an absolutely wonderful gift, I'm actually rather tempted to pick one up myself. You can purchase it at Debenhams for £25.00. Isn't that a bargain? A full sized eye pencil is normally £15.50 so you're definitely getting your money's worth.

Benefit is a great place to start with any makeup related gifts. They always have incredible gift sets this time of the year. One particular gift set that is worth the money is Benefit You're so Party, containing two full sized products of the popular Hoola Bronzer and They're real mascara. There are also two mini sized products too, the POREfessional(7.5ml) and an ultra plush lip gloss in hoola. They're all contained within a very pretty, festive partyland tin. You can purchase it from House of Fraser for £39.50. Yes, it may seem a bit on the higher end of the spectrum but it's definitely worth it.

Another leaning towards the higher end of this gift guide is from Laura Mercier, the Matte to Metal Holiday Caviar Stick Eye Colour Collection, consisting of six generous sized caviar eye sticks(1g) in different shades and formulas, with two of them being matte and the rest shimmers. They are said to rival the likes of the By Terry ombré black stars. The Caviar sticks are individually £22 for 1.6g so I find that you're getting a bargain if you purchase this set, especially as it is priced at £39. You can purchase the collection from Space Nk.

The Boots star gift would make a fantastic gift for those that love No7. This week the No7 Ultimate Collection has been reduced from £75.00 down to £37.50. The collection features everything from body wash to cleansing lotion and mascara. You really get a lot of bang for your buck with this set. I'm sure anyone that receives this would absolutely adore it, and of course it will last them a while too which is always a good sign. You can purchase it from Boots.

If you're looking for a gift for your mum, sister, cousin etc, I find that a good haircare set always goes down well. The Bumble and Bumble 'Full of Cheer' Thickening Haircare Gift Set is a great place to start, especially if that person you're gifting for has very lacklustre, thin hair and wants some more bounce back into their hair. The gift set contains 3 travel sized produces, the Thickening Shampoo(60ml), Thickening Conditioner(60ml) and the Thickening Dryspun Finish Spray(150ml). I myself would absolutely love to receive this, especially as it's of a bargain price at £22. You can purchase it from John Lewis.

If your loved one loves to indulge in the most luxurious of body products then the Laura Mercier La Petite Soufflés Souffle Body Creme Collection is perfect. In this set is a collection of 6 travel sized body creams(60ml) in various different scents. Such scents include Creme brûlée(my personal favourite), ambre vanille, fresh fig, Creme de pistache, tarte au citron and almond coconut milk. You can purchase it from Space Nk for £45.

This Caudalie Rose de Vigne Set is absolutely suitable for any family member.  Rose is a very beautiful scent but can come across a bit strong for some. This gift contains the Rose de Vigne Fresh Fragrance, Shower Gel and Hand and Nail Cream. It is priced at the lower end of this gift guide, costing just £22.10(originally £26) here from Look Fantastic.

Have you found anything in this Gift Guide that's helped you or has taken your fancy? Let me know in the comments if so

The Perfect Christmas LBD | Luxemme Nyane Lux Cut Out High Neck Dress

It's coming up to that very special day, Christmas. How excited can one person get? I'm counting down the days. Prior to the day I like to plan out my outfit and makeup. Last year I was pregnant and so I didn't care about how I looked so I didn't go all out like I normally would but this year I want to make myself look and feel more confident in myself. Every girl likes to look her best right? Especially on Christmas Day.

There are many cliches surrounding what to wear on Christmas Day such as the classic red lipstick and glitter and whatnot but one thing you can't go wrong with on any special occasion is a LBD, particularly this beautiful Nyane Lux Cut Out High Neck Dress from Luxemme.
Luxemme Nyane Lux Cut Out High Neck Dress
Luxemme likes to pride themselves in providing the most bespoke designed clothing using the very best materials and fabrics at affordable prices.

The Nyane Lux Cut Out High Neck Dress is made from the most softest material and it's quite stretchy too, meaning it's not too tight around any lumps and bumps and is very comfortable. It's so flattering too which makes me feel so confident, especially as a mum with a nearly one year old, a slight mum tum and stretch marks to show for it.

The style of the dress is incredibly elegant and chic to say the least and the high neck is very in this season. There is a zip running down from the top of the neck to the bottom of the back which glides up very easily and quickly without needing any help whatsoever. It also has a slight 'slit' down the side of the dress to give a slight ooze of 'sex appeal' which I love. The dress can of course be dressed up or down, simply by popping a blazer or jacket over the top or pairing it with black heels.

This particular dress is from the Anita Kaushik Celebrity Range, the reality star from Ex on the Beach and Britain and Irelands Next Top Model, and is priced at a very affordable £35. It is also available in white too if blacks not your thing.

Will you be wearing a LBD this christmas?

Acne Ultra Clear | Review

If you're a regular reader here then you'll have known that I have had acne since a teenager. I'm now in my early 20's and I still have it but my skin has improved so much. Unfortunately though there's not a day goes by that I don't have a breakout or a spot or two pop up. A spot sticks out like a sore thumb and makes me feel a bit wary and unconfident at times, especially if they're in the awkward of places such as the mouth and nose.

As you can imagine I've been through various different products to help clear my acne, from clearasil to benzoyl peroxide and roaccutane but nothing has ever completely cleared it. Maybe roaccutane, but that only lasted for the best part of three months, then it came back again with a vengeance.

Recently I was contacted to try out Acne Ultra Clear and I jumped at the chance. Acne Ultra Clear is an all round natural herbal face cream, used to help combat acne, but can also be used as a moisturiser too. There are no nasties involved, it's all completely free of any chemicals. Isn't that good news? It makes me breathe a sigh of relief. It includes ingredients such as coconut oil and beeswax, to name a few.
Acne Ultra Clear
Acne Ultra Clear
It is packaged within a clear plastic tub with a screw top lid placed on the top, providing 50ml of the face cream. As soon as it arrived I loved the design of it. The product name is nicely stated in graffiti text on the front which I find to be quite bold and unique. I think it's very sleek and well packaged, I love it. I love that it's of a generous size too with 50ml of the cream, it's sure going to last me a long time. I've used it for over a month, nearly two, and I have barely made a dent in it.

It is instructed that you apply Acne Ultra Clear twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. Admittedly I didn't always stick to this, I mostly just apply it the once before I go to bed. You only need a little pea sized amount to apply to the whole of the face. A little really goes a long way. The cream is super lightweight and glides onto the skin nice and smoothly. It smells a little bit like clay which may seem a little off putting to others but I like it, I'm used to clay masks and such like.
Acne Ultra Clear
If I have any spots below the surface they are then pulled out in full view and I have noticed spots reducing in size and redness. I have also noticed a difference in my skins texture too. It feels so much softer and smoother. It injects a lot of hydration into my skin too. I seriously rate this cream. It has worked wonders for me, I love it.

You can purchase it from Amazon here for £15.99(normally £17.99)

Have you tried Acne Ultra Clear? What are your favourite products to clear acne?

Maple Holistics Degrease Shampoo | Review

One thing I just cannot cope with is greasy hair, just, urgh, no. I always seemed to wash my hair every 2 days, which I feel is just too often for me. My hair is quite fine and seems to get greasy quite quickly. It's just not a nice feeling, and of course it doesn't look great either. Lately I've been trying to wait it out longer between washes. You can always expect to see me sporting a good ol' top knot or sleek pony tail when doing so.

Over a month ago I was introduced to Maple Holistics and I am ecstatic to say the least. For those of you that are new to Maple Holistics it is a US based, Organic and Natural brand that offers products for your hair, body and skin. To help battle my horrific greasy hair/scalp I decided upon trying the Degrease Shampoo. The name says it all, right? But it also helps towards irritation, dandruff and dry hair. It's not just a one trick pony.
Maple Holistics Degrease Shampoo
The Degrease Shampoo is packaged within a transparent green bottle with the brand name clearly stated on the front of the bottle with directions on how to apply it on the back. To apply it you simply dispense a quarter sized amount and apply throughout the scalp and leave it to sink in between 2-3 minutes, then rinse, and repeat again if desired.

It features a wonderful concoction of ingredients such as Lemon(to cleanse and remove excess oil), Rosemary(to stimulate cell renewal), Cypress(to help restore and regulate excess sebum). Basil(to rejuvenate, restore and strengthen thinning hair) and more. The ingredient line up is pretty incredible to say the least. With the combination of natural ingredients it is so gentle to use.

I have been trying out the shampoo for just over a month now and I have to say I am super impressed. I like to apply it just the once in one sitting instead of reapplying and rinsing again as I feel that just the once is enough for me. My hair seems to feel very soft, cleansed and refreshed after use and so much easier to brush through too. I have also noticed a difference in the length of time between washes. Before, I would have washed at least twice a week but it's gradually moving up to 3 a week which is still a great improvement. Admittedly I am not keen on the scent, it is somewhat citrusy and the rosemary is pretty overpowering but that definitely doesn't put me off it at all.

With that aside I thought now would be the perfect time to introduce a wonderful opportunity to you. Maple Holistics would like you to write an honest review in return for any product of your choice. It really is that simple. It's the perfect opportunity to delve more into the brand. You can find the full details here.

You can purchase the Degrease Shampoo here for $16.95(£11.15)

Have you tried anything from Maple Holistics? How often do you wash your hair?

Christmas Gift Guide | Beauty Under £10

With just under a month until Christmas Day I thought it would be the perfect time to crack out the Gift Guides. I know how much Josh struggles for ideas on what I'd like for Christmas as I have a wishlist as long as my arm. I've actually thought about writing out a list for him to make it a lot easier. As someone that loves everything beauty related I will be starting a series of beauty gift guides first of all, then moving onto lifestyle and fashion to cover all bases over the next few weeks.

Not everyone wants to be too spendy at Christmas and so I thought I would start with christmas beauty gifts under £10. You'll be surprised at how many incredible bargains you can snap up.
Christmas Gift Guide Beauty Under £10
Starting with Soap and Glory, well they always do the best gift sets during the festive season, without a doubt. One of my favourite gift sets this year is Winter Wonder Hand, a trio of my favourite hand cream ever, Hand Food, which come in 3 different scents, Sugar Crush, Original Pink and Smoothie Star. All of them are beautifully scented and it's definitely a gift set every soap and glory lover should receive. You can purchase this from Boots for just £8.00.

If you're looking for a cheap but effective brush set then Makeup Revolution Ultra Pro Brush Collection is a good bet, complete with six brushes for the face and eyes. The brushes are made of synthetic hair and are perfect for someone just starting out into makeup. For six brushes they are a bargain at just £8(down from £15) which comes to just over £1 a brush. You can purchase the set from Superdrug.

No one likes kinks in their hair. That's where the Popband London 'Winter Berry' Hair Ties come in. There are a total of five hair ties in the set, a pale pink, lilac, burgundy shimmer, burgundy and baby pink. Guaranteed to leave your hair looking sleek and kink-free once you let your hair down. That's the kinks solved. Who needs hairbands anymore? You can grab this set here from Feel Unique for £8.00.

For every skincare lover, I find the First Aid Beauty Cleanse and Exfoliate Duo to be a great option. For just £8 you can expect to see a face cleanser and 10x facial radiance pads within this set which seem to be favourites by many beauty bloggers. Also bare in mind that it's worth twice that at £16, I think its brilliant. You can purchase it from Look Fantastic.

In my opinion the Bodyshop can do no wrong and always produce amazing Christmas gift sets. I find the Glazed Apple Treat Box to be a wonderful gift. The scent is absolutely incredible and very pleasing. The set contains Glazed Apple Shower Gel(60ml), Glazed Apple Body Butter(50ml) and a cute mini sized Green Crinkle Bath Lily. Glazed Apple is a special edition scent and is only available during the festive season. You can purchase from The Bodyshop for £8, or of course take a look for yourself in store.

Everyone deserves and needs their beauty sleep but for some it can be difficult. This Works Dream Team Duo consists of Stress Less(5ml) and the popular Deep Sleep Pillow Spray(5ml) to help calm and soothe the senses, helping you get a well deserved sleep. As small as the products are I think it's a wonderful way to get to grips with the brand and help your loved one get their perfect nights sleep. You can purchase this set from Beauty Bay for £8.60.

If the person you're buying for is one for sweet, Christmassy scents then I think that the Beauticology Home of Beauty Christmas Gift Set is perfect. It contains a total of five products. A Spiced Orange 100ml body wash, 50ml Toasted Marshmallow Body Lotion, 50ml Vanilla Frosting Hand Lotion, 100ml Plum Pudding Shower Cream and 100ml Frosted Cranberry Shower Cream. It is a great bargain at £9 down from £12. You can purchase it from Debenhams. You can also find some Beauticology gift sets in your local TX MAXX stores under £10 too.

I hope I gave you some great ideas. I know how difficult and stressful it can be during the festive shopping season, especially for someone that is a beauty enthusiast, to say the least.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?

Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder | Review

As someone that has combination to oily skin I always have to use a powder to set my foundation, no matter what the season is. I have tried so many powders over the years from loose to pressed powders and although I have a few firm favourites in my collection I like to give others a go too. I must admit I haven't tried many loose powders as I tend to find them quite messy to work with, however that hasn't stopped me falling in love with the Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder.
Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder
Oh, say hello to my beaut of a puppy, Ollie! *enter heart eyes emoji* Isn't he gorgeous?

Putting that little cutie aside, the setting powder comes contained in a plastic jar, with a sifter on the top with a white powder puff placed within it. The powder puff can be used to apply the powder directly onto the skin. It is super soft and very comfortable to use. I much prefer to skip using it though and go in with a sponge, but it's very handy at preventing any spillage when placed over the sifter. There's less chance of any wastage. I'm pretty impressed with the overall size of the product too, weighing in at 28g for just £17. If that isn't a bargain then what is? I see it lasting me a very long time. The jar is also completely lightweight which I love but it's not the most travel friendly powder to take along with me. I much prefer to pop a pressed powder in my bag when I'm on the go.

As for the powder itself it is translucent which doesn't interrupt or change the colour of the foundation underneath whatsoever which makes it perfect for every skin tone. It is also finely milled and doesn't look cakey on the skin at all. In fact, I'd say it looks utterly flawless. It was specifically formulated to be applied on top of the Dermablend High-Coverage Corrective foundation but I don't own it and like to apply it on top of my beloved Rimmel Match Perfection instead. It doesn't matter what foundation this is combined with, the result is always the same, a natural matte, flawless finish with no settling into fine lines.

As I mentioned before, I like to apply the powder with a sponge(the Primark egg sponge is a favourite of mine) opposed to the puff it's provided with. I don't use it all over the skin as such either. I've become well acquainted with the 'baking' technique that has become ever so popular within the beauty community. For those that aren't familiar with the concept, it is basically applying a loose powder over concealer and leaving to 'bake' onto the skin and brushing off, leaving a very flawless, glowing complexion.

My makeup lasts a hell of a lot longer than a pressed powder would do, it keeps it all in place from at least half 8 in the morning until 8 at night but it's claimed to last a good 16 hours. Of course I can't confirm that but 11 hours is pretty good, is it not? The powder is perfect for my skin type as well. As someone that suffers from acne, it is a sure good sign to see that it is non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic. It is also fragrance-free, hypo-allergenic too.

Overall, it is a wonderful setting powder, suitable for every skin tone and skin type and one that I really recommend that you try out. It is a very reasonable price at £17(currently £14.45) and you can purchase here from Escentual.

Christmas Beauty Wishlist 2015

Okay so it is finally time for Christmassy related posts here on the blog, eek. Of course it will not all be Christmas related. It is my favourite time of year. There's something so exciting and magical about Christmas, especially this year with a new baby in tow. I've already got all of Alfie's presents wrapped up and prepared, there's just Josh's presents that need to be bought now. Why are men so difficult to buy for? Seriously, they change their mind all the time, I can't keep up. Anyone have the same problem with their partner?

Anyway, down to my excitement for the festive season that is upon us, I thought it would be the perfect time to share what's on my Christmas Beauty Wishlist this year. Yes, it is mostly(if not, all) makeup related. My Christmas wishlist is seriously long, I actually thought at one point that it would be full of everything Charlotte Tilbury. I am craving a bit of CT makeup in my life right now, all of that beautiful rose gold goodness. Who can resist?
Christmas Beauty Wishlist 2015
Speaking of Charlotte Tilbury though, I have three products at the very top of my wishlist this year, starting with the Dolce Vita Palette, a luxurious quad of stunning eye shadows with shimmery bronze, gold and burgundy tones. It is absolutely mesmerising. I've had it on my wishlist for so long, I think it is about time I had it in my life after a long wait.

I haven't tried any lipsticks from the two lipstick ranges from Charlotte Tilbury as of yet but I have been meaning to for the longest time. The Mini Lipstick Charms are a perfect way to give the lipsticks a try, and let's not forget how cute and luxurious they are? That packaging though. It's right at the top of my list. I really hope I find it in my stocking on Christmas morning.

And lastly from Charlotte Tilbury is the Bar of Gold Highlighter. I am a lover of a strong highlighter and I love the look of this one. Unfortunately for me it is out of stock on the Selfridges and the Charlotte Tilbury website so I'm hoping it becomes available quickly before Christmas else I will be so disappointed. I cannot miss out on this as it's limited edition. After Christmas it's gone, wahh.

Another highlighter on my wishlist is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Starlight Illuminator which is the most beautiful white- gold highlighter. I've been meaning to buy it for a while but every time I've visited cult beauty it's been out of stock so off on my Christmas list it goes.

Of course most bloggers know that NYX was recently released online at Boots a while ago and everyone went crazy over it. I've been really interested in trying a few products from the brand for a while but I've never been able to find any stockists until now. As someone who loves a strong contour and highlight I knew there was something that I needed to try more than others, the NYX Highlight and Contour Palette. It looks like the perfect palette for me with a mixture of cool and warm tones.

Another palette on the wishlist is theBalm Manizer Sisters Palette, consisting of a trio of the famous highlighters from theBalm including Betty Lou, Mary Lou and Cindy Lou. Sadly my Mary loumanizer smashed into pieces in the pan a few weeks ago, I've no idea how it happened but it is one of my favourites and I need it back in my life. It is literally calling my name.

I have wanted a new makeup brush set for a while but I've never gone for it, I have no idea why. There's one particular set I've had my eyes on, the Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set. I don't think I need to say much but how pretty are they with the rose gold detail? Rose gold is my weakness.

And lastly is the Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder. I've seen it used in many makeup tutorials and it gives the most perfect defined cheekbones, not to mention the medium shade is cool toned and perfect for my skin tone. I need.

A Skincare Saviour | Pixi Glow Tonic

For the best part of a year I have had the Pixi Glow Tonic on the top of my very long wishlist after reading so many positive reviews on it and so I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I don't know what took me so long but I'm so happy I've finally got it in my possession. It's become a staple within my skincare wardrobe since I bought it. It's really earned its place.

The Pixi Glow Tonic is an exfoliating toner, designed to help rid your skin of dead skin cells, tone the skin, and of course, insert the radiance back into the skin too. It is completely alcohol free and the best thing is that it's suitable for all skin types as well.

It is packaged within a clear cylinder plastic bottle with a green lid placed on the top. It's a 250ml bottle which may seem like a lot of product but for someone who uses it daily, twice a day in the day and night, I don't feel like it's enough. I've used it for the last 2 months and this is my second bottle now.

It smells absolutely divine, I can't quite pinpoint what it smells like exactly, perhaps a bit fruity like apricots, but it makes applying it very satisfying. It includes aloe vera, ginseng and glycolic acid.

I use it after I've cleansed my skin. I pour a little of the toner on a cotton pad and wipe all over the face, avoiding the eye area. It is super gentle, not at all drying and leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean.

Within days of using it I noticed a huge difference to my skin. It left my skin feeling soo incredibly soft, the texture of my skin improved and the scarring from my acne had reduced. It put a lot of radiance back into my skin too which is something I need, especially in the mornings. It looks a helluva lot healthier. It also provides a great base to apply my moisturiser and makeup. They glide onto my skin so smoothly and my makeup looks so flawless. Ahh, it's just a miracle worker for me. I can't be without it.

You can purchase the Pixi Glow Tonic at £18.00 from Cult Beauty. I must also point out that M&S has recently become stockists of the brand too. It's just a shame they don't stock it in my nearby store, boo.

Maybelline Master Sculpt Review

Over the last couple of months I've become rather obsessed with contouring. I didn't see what the fuss was about at first but I've learnt that it really does make a difference to the shape of my face. It accentuates my cheekbones and adds depth and a touch of warmth to my face when used in particular areas of my face.

I've been using Benefit Hoola Bronzer as my go to contour for the last few months and I've been meaning to look for a good drugstore alternative, in fear of it running low. There are many different contouring palettes in the drugstore but I opted for the Maybelline Master Sculpt. I bought it when it was released and I was intrigued to give it a whirl.

Maybelline Master Sculpt
Maybelline Master Sculpt is packaged within a shiny, black, square compact and consists of a contour and a highlight shade inside a circular pan with the contour shade taking up the majority of the pan. There is also a compartment underneath which you can lift up revealing a reasonably sized mirror and slightly rounded brush which is a lovely touch to the palette. Unfortunately I'm disappointed by the quality of the brush. The brush is quite scratchy on the skin and in my opinion doesn't pack enough bristles to be able to give a precise application in the hollows of my cheeks and blend in the product. I like the idea of the mirror though as I am not one to travel with a separate mirror in my handbag.
Maybelline Master Sculpt
Maybelline Master Sculpt Light/Medium Swatch
There are two shades of the Master Sculpt, Light/Medium and Medium/Dark. I have the Light/Medium palette. The contour shade is quite warm toned and leans a little orangey on my skin. I would've preferred if it was cool toned so it would look more natural on my skin tone. The pigmentation isn't the strongest either, I find that I need to layer it up in order for it to show up on my skin, especially if I use the brush that comes with it. The powders are buttery soft though. The highlight is a light champagne shade with small shimmer particles which is quite subtle but appears a little chalky and needs a bit of building up. As someone that enjoys a strong highlight this really just wasn't for me.

Unfortunately I just didn't get on with the palette. The pigmentation, shade and the brush included within it completely let me down but if you're just getting into contouring then this may just be for you.

You can purchase the Maybelline Master Sculpt palette here for £6.99 from

Soap and Glory Body Sprays

On one of my previous visits to my local Boots store I spotted a brilliant offer on. 3 for 2 on the Soap and Glory range. Oh I just couldn't resist. Soap and Glory is one of my favourite brands. I knew exactly what I wanted to buy. I have seen plenty of reviews on the Body Sprays and I was intrigued to give them a go. There are now a total of 6 different scents from their brilliant ranges such as Smoothie Star, Sugar Crush, Orangeasm and more. I have Fruitigo, Original Pink and Sugar Crush in my possession(so far!).
Soap and Glory Body Sprays
They are all packaged within pretty pink plastic bottles with a clear cap on the top, containing 100ml of the spray. As they are quite reasonably sized and light they are perfect for popping in your handbag and travelling with which I love. There's nothing I dislike more than a fragrance that takes up room in my bag and weighs it down, urgh.

Fruitigo is a very fruity based body spray. It's described as 'deeply fruity with a definite touch of fig'. It also features yuzu, sweet orange oil and pomelo essence. Now I would be lying if I knew what those two strange ingredients meant to me but the bottom line is it smells absolutely incredible and is in fact the strongest of scents out of the three. I quite like to use it as a room spray too. It just smells so good and the scent lingers around for an hour or two afterwards. This scent is gorgeous, and one of my favourites.

Original Pink admittedly is not my favourite of the three. It's quite a fresh, floral scent, including lavender, lemon oil, musk, mandarin and bergamot. Although there are a few citrus-y ingredients featured in this spray it doesn't smell overpowering, in fact I feel like the musk shows its presence more. It has the same scent as my favourite hand cream, Hand Food and the Righteous Butter.

And then there's Sugar Crush. I absolutely love the Sugar Crush range, the Body Scrub and Body Wash are two of my favourite body products, ever. It's a very sweet and zingy scent, featuring vanilla, lemon oil, lime and more. It is seriously amazing, it's a very uplifting and refreshing scent. The perfect wake up call. It lingers on the skin for a while and sticks around a bit longer if you layer it on top of the body products from the Sugar Crush range. The best thing is that they're only £4.00 each too. Now that is a bargain in my book.

Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders Mini Collection | Review

Over the last month or so I've added some new skincare into my daily routine from a brand that I had never tried before, Ole Henriksen. I have heard a lot about the brand but never actually delved into it myself, until now.

I have the Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders Mini Collection, a trio of mini sized products, all aimed towards combating the signs of ageing. Although I've no need to worry about ageing at the age of just 21 I believe in helping your skin early on.

The kit consists of the Truth Serum Collagen Booster(9.76ml), Invigorating Night Treatment(7g) and Sheer Transformation(7g).
Ole Henriksen 3 Little Wonders Mini Collection
The Truth Serum Collagen Booster is the first step and is only supposed to be used in the morning. It's an antioxidant serum that consists of 5 different kinds of vitamin C to help boost collagen production and add some radiance back into your skin. It's of a gel formula and can feel a little 'wet' when first applied but it sinks quite quickly into the skin, ready to move onto the next step. It smells very refreshing and zingy, like oranges, which I absolutely love. I pump a little bit of the serum onto the back of my hand and apply to my face, neck and decollete. One pump is all that is needed. It really does brighten up my skin and leaves it feeling really lovely and fresh.

The second step is Sheer Transformation. It can be used in both the morning and night times. It is an oil-free cream based moisturiser formulated with antioxidants and fruit acids that helps to hydrate, retexturise the skin, smooth facial lines and fade any discolouration such as age spots, sun damage and even freckles. It also protects the skin from free radicals too. The moisturiser feels very lightweight and nourishing which I love. I also like that it's oil-free too as I have acne prone and combination skin so it's something I like to look for in a moisturiser. It's a great base before applying my makeup in the morning and sinks in rather quickly too. It makes my skin feel super soft.

Lastly is the Invigorating Night Treatment, which as you can imagine, yes, it's only to be used in the evening and before using Sheer Transformation. It's a resurfacing gel with a 12 source AHA complex to improve the skins texture, smooth fine lines, even skintone and fade dark spots. I only use the smallest amount and apply to my face, neck and decolette. I can't say that I've recognised any fading in the acne scarring I have but my skin looked more even and softer than usual.

As positive as I am about this cute little trio though, after a couple of weeks of persisting with it my skin reacted to it quite badly, I'm not sure what particular product it was but my skin broke out more than usual. I had spots appear near my mouth, forehead and a few on my neck too. I wish the products had worked for me but they just didn't agree with my skin. I wish I knew what caused my skin to react the way it did as I quite enjoyed using the collagen booster and sheer transformation. If any of you have tried the trio and had the same reaction I would love to know your thoughts.

Anyway, If you're like me and haven't tried anything from the brand this little kit is a great place to start. It also makes a cute stocking filler this Christmas. You can purchase it from Escentual for £14.40(originally £18.00). Such a bargain! It is out of stock at the moment but hopefully it will be stocked back up soon. Alternatively you can reserve it.

Smartsun UV Indicator Wristbands

I have been completely terrible on the blogging front over the last couple of months since I got off maternity leave and returned to work. Certain posts and products that were supposed to have gone live and written up have gone completely over my head. I really need to get a bit more organised. Come on Lauren sort it out, haha.

The summer season may be over and the cold seasons have approached but for those that are going abroad to the hotter countries towards the end of the year(you lucky things!) may need a little bit of help. It is super important to arm yourselves with a sun lotion with a reasonable SPF(at least 30 or 40, or 50 if you want the highest protection) no matter how much you want to sunbathe and get yourself a tan. The sun can have long lasting, damaging effects to the skin so it's better to protect your skin than not at all. It can be incredibly dangerous and result in burning, redness, peeling and even blistering of the skin.

I know many people that tend to apply sun lotion at least once a day hoping that is all that is needed to protect from the sun but that is definitely not the case. It needs to be reapplied numerous times throughout the day. It can be a bit confusing when it's needed but with the help of the Smart Sun UV Wristbands you will know exactly when to do so.

Smartsun UV Indicator Wristbands
The UV wristbands are suitable for both adults and children. They change colour depending on whether or not you need to apply your SPF, before your skin starts burning and peeling. There are three colour modes. The original colour of the wristbands are yellow which means unused, Beige means you need to reapply and Pink means stay out of the sun. They're so handy with the simplest of instructions.

All you have to do is put the wristband on in the morning and apply suncream to your body, and even the wristband too. Keep your skin protected!

You can purchase them in a pack of 5 for just £3.99(originally £4.99) here from Amazon.

Will you be going abroad soon? Will you be taking these along with you?
