Another month has flown by, where does the time go? We are now in July, half way through the year. Who'd have thought it eh? This year is going way too fast for my liking but on the plus side it's only 6 months until my favourite time of the year, Christmass!! It is a long way to go yet but I'm pretty sure it will fly by fast enough like it has done so far.
Anyway, as another month has gone by I thought it was only right that I shared my June favourites with you. I don't have many favourites but they are all makeup based, no sign of any skincare or bodycare here. It's come as a little shock to me considering I had a little love affair with skincare products just a month or so ago but that seems to be over now and my love for everything makeup is creeping back up again, it's really taking a toll on my purse, oops.
I've had the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation for a while and tried it out once and instantly took a dislike to it and put it away in my Muji drawers. I have the lightest shade 'Light Porcelain' and it stayed put until last month when I decided to give it yet another go and I have become quite attached to it ever since. It's a light to medium coverage foundation which I wasn't too sure about at first. I have acne scars and I normally go for medium-full coverage foundations but for some reason I fell in love with this. It blurs out imperfections, maybe not completely but I quite like the coverage it gives. It also feels incredibly lightweight on the skin almost as if I'm not wearing any foundation which is always a good thing.
L'Oreal Superliner Ultra-Precision
For the last few years I have always stuck with the same liquid liner(Rimmel Glam'eyes) and I have got a little bored of it so I decided to purchase a different liner which of course came in the form of the L'Oreal Superliner Ultra-Precision in Black. I have heard wonderful things about this eyeliner and I had it on my wishlist for a while but never purchased it and I am now left wondering why I hadn't purchased it sooner. It has a felt tip nib which is pretty easy to use, it allows you to get as close to the lash line as possible and it's the blackest of black liners, incredibly pigmented and has great lasting power. What more can I say?
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Stick
I swatched this a few weeks ago in my nearest Boots store and it was love at first swatch. I have it in the shade 011 Bluffing and it's the most beautiful bronze shade. It makes my eyes pop and looks great as a one wash wonder on the lids. It's incredible, it's just a shame you have to sharpen it instead. I would love it even more if it was of a twist up stick style.
I received a sample of the Benefit They're Real Mascara in my May Birchbox and I adore it. Not only does it volumise and lengthen my lashes but it's not clumpy and I only need 1 or 2 applications of it on my lashes and I am good to go. Once I have run out of this sample I will definitely be grabbing myself a full size version of it.
Real Techniques Buffing Brush
Excuse the dirty brush, I haven't actually got round to washing my makeup brushes yet. Anyway, I got the RT Buffing Brush in my Sam's Picks set that I got from my Nan for christmas and I have been using it non stop. It's great for blending and buffing in my foundation on my face especially in those places where foundation tends to 'stick' like around my hairline and jawline.
