An Online Beauty Haul

An Online Beauty Haul
An Online Beauty Haul
As I may have mentioned once or twice on twitter I have been hauling a fair few beauty bits over the last month or so. I've really needed cheering up and shopping online is my own way of doing so. I tried to hold back a little but unfortunately there was no stopping me. What can I say? I couldn't resist. The consequences from my little(when I say little, I mean slightly big) is a hole in my purse but it's definitely worth it.

I have been hauling a few other beauty bits and pieces over the last few weeks but they were mainly repurchases and impulse buys but I wanted to show you what I purchased very recently instead of showing the full works of beauty products I've bought. There's too many to mention.

On my bid to cheer myself up just last week I hit up three popular beauty websites such as Selfridges, Feel Unique and Space NK and received them all the following week and couldn't contain my excitement when I opened them all up. Doesn't anyone else get the teeniest bit excited when you receive a parcel(s)? I'm like a little girl on Christmas Day.

Anyway, let's see what I've been hauling shall we?
Laura Mercier Creme Brulee Quartet
First up, I hit Space NK as they have a Sale of up to 50% off on so many well known brands such as Laura Mercier, Revive, Shu Uemura and more. It's actually still on now! I'm guessing the sale will last until everything has ran out of stock. The Laura Mercier Creme Brulee Quartet caught my eye instantly. At first I was thinking of purchasing the duo but I realised getting the quartet would be much better value for money. It went down from £60.00 down to £30.00. That's a great 50% off! Such a great bargain. The creme brulee scent smells delicious and I can't wait to use it in the bath.
Nars Sheer Glow and Radiant Creamy Concealer

What did I purchase from good ol' Selfridges then? Well, for a while I have lusted over the NARS sheer glow foundation but I was too scared of the thought of purchasing an expensive foundation online without a match test. I haven't got a NARS counter anywhere near me but I decided to risk it and opted for the lightest shade, Siberia. I also decided to add the NARS radiant creamy concealer in the shade Chantilly to my virtual basket too as I've heard so many great things about it. I hate the thought of wasting foundation, especially when it's of the high end kind so of course I decided to purchase a foundation pump too. I couldn't find one on Selfridges but I found them in stock on Space NK so I added that straight to my basket along with my other Space NK goodies.
An Online Beauty Haul

Last but not least is my Feel Unique goodies with an extra Space NK goodie thrown into the mix. I am so organised with this photography lark aren't I? haha. I completely forgot to seperate all my products into the stores I bought them from but who doesn't make a photography mistake every once in a while? I'm not perfect.

Anyway, I felt a few Feel Unique purchases was in order when I seen that they had discounted prices on their 'Hot 100' products which included theBalm's Mary-Lou Manizer and Benefit's Hoola Bronzer. I have been yearning for these products for the longest time so it only felt right I splashed out and bought them both seeing as they were both discounted. I also decided to purchase some more Invisibobbles in a beautiful pastellicious spring fling purple which I have to say I adore! They are amazing at keeping hair straight and kink-free.

That cheeky extra Space NK goodie? Well I had to purchase the ByTerry ombre blackstar in Misty Rock. I am obsessed with eyeshadow pencils recently and this seemed like a great addition to my others. I actually first seen this used in a youtube tutorial by the beautiful Tanya Burr and fell in love with it. I can't wait to start getting some use out of it.

I love everything I have purchased and although I haven't used any of them just yet I am pretty happy with everything I received. I can't wait to get use out of them all.

What have you been hauling online recently?

June Beauty Favourites

June Beauty Favourites
June Beauty Favourites
Another month has flown by, where does the time go? We are now in July, half way through the year. Who'd have thought it eh? This year is going way too fast for my liking but on the plus side it's only 6 months until my favourite time of the year, Christmass!! It is a long way to go yet but I'm pretty sure it will fly by fast enough like it has done so far.

Anyway, as another month has gone by I thought it was only right that I shared my June favourites with you. I don't have many favourites but they are all makeup based, no sign of any skincare or bodycare here. It's come as a little shock to me considering I had a little love affair with skincare products just a month or so ago but that seems to be over now and my love for everything makeup is creeping back up again, it's really taking a toll on my purse, oops.

I've had the Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation for a while and tried it out once and instantly took a dislike to it and put it away in my Muji drawers. I have the lightest shade 'Light Porcelain' and it stayed put until last month when I decided to give it yet another go and I have become quite attached to it ever since. It's a light to medium coverage foundation which I wasn't too sure about at first. I have acne scars and I normally go for medium-full coverage foundations but for some reason I fell in love with this. It blurs out imperfections, maybe not completely but I quite like the coverage it gives. It also feels incredibly lightweight on the skin almost as if I'm not wearing any foundation which is always a good thing.

L'Oreal Superliner Ultra-Precision
For the last few years I have always stuck with the same liquid liner(Rimmel Glam'eyes) and I have got a little bored of it so I decided to purchase a different liner which of course came in the form of the L'Oreal Superliner Ultra-Precision in Black. I have heard wonderful things about this eyeliner and I had it on my wishlist for a while but never purchased it and I am now left wondering why I hadn't purchased it sooner. It has a felt tip nib which is pretty easy to use, it allows you to get as close to the lash line as possible and it's the blackest of black liners, incredibly pigmented and has great lasting power. What more can I say?

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Stick
I swatched this a few weeks ago in my nearest Boots store and it was love at first swatch. I have it in the shade 011 Bluffing and it's the most beautiful bronze shade. It makes my eyes pop and looks great as a one wash wonder on the lids. It's incredible, it's just a shame you have to sharpen it instead. I would love it even more if it was of a twist up stick style.

I received a sample of the Benefit They're Real Mascara in my May Birchbox and I adore it. Not only does it volumise and lengthen my lashes but it's not clumpy and I only need 1 or 2 applications of it on my lashes and I am good to go. Once I have run out of this sample I will definitely be grabbing myself a full size version of it.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush
Excuse the dirty brush, I haven't actually got round to washing my makeup brushes yet. Anyway, I got the RT Buffing Brush in my Sam's Picks set that I got from my Nan for christmas and I have been using it non stop. It's great for blending and buffing in my foundation on my face especially in those places where foundation tends to 'stick' like around my hairline and jawline.

What are your June Favourites?

Eucerin Dermopurifyer Cleanser | Review

Eucerin has to be one of those skincare brands that I don't think is mentioned enough in the blogging community. I admit I haven't used many of their products before but I always turned to Eucerin Dry Skin Relief Cream when suffering from the occasional dry skin days back then when I was a teenager. It was a complete skin saviour back in the day.
Eucerin DermoPurifyer Cleanser
When Escentual gave me an opportunity to try out the Eucerin Dermo PURIFYER Cleanser I jumped at the chance. As someone that suffers from oily skin and acne breakouts I wanted to see if this would make a difference to my skin as it's suitable for those with oily and blemish prone skin.

Eucerin Dermo PURIFYER Cleanser is completely soap and fragrance free with 6% Ampho-Tenside and it's also supposedly non-comedogenic too. This is good news for those that suffer from frequent breakouts like myself, there's nothing worse than a cleanser that blocks the pores causing even more breakouts than before. I have also noticed that it has only at least 8 ingredients mentioned on the back of the packaging. This is different compared to many cleansers I have used in the past that are normally full to the brim with at least 10+ ingredients. Isn't this a good sign?

I have used it for 4 weeks now, both morning and night without fail after my first cleanse. I always like to remove my makeup first with my Garnier Micellar Water and use a second cleanser to make sure every trace of dirt and makeup is removed.

I always wet my face first as instructed and squeeze a small amount of the gel cleanser onto my hand and work it into a lather before applying to the face, avoiding the eye area. I then rinse with warm water and gently dry my face with a towel. It was incredibly gentle on the skin, no sign of any irritation and I was left with great, thoroughly cleansed facial skin.

The Eucerin Dermo PURIFYER Cleanser didn't make my face dry out at all and it didn't tighten up my skin but it didn't feel overly oily either. My face felt fresh, clean and balanced out with a much more even and soft complexion.

I can't say whether or not it has helped to reduce my spots but it's certainly changed how often my breakouts appear on my skin(which was very often). If you have oily and blemish prone skin then I definitely recommend you try out the Eucerin Dermo PURIFYER Cleanser.

You can purchase the Eucerin Dermopurifyer Cleanser from Escentual for just £9.

Have you tried the Eucerin Dermo PURIFYER Cleanser?

Back to Blogging!

I'm baack! Well, I think I am at least, haha. As you may or may not have noticed I have disappeared on the blogging front over the last few weeks and it was most definitely not planned but for good reason. I know I don't need to explain myself to anyone but I recently started a job over a month ago which I am so happy about. I have hated being unemployed ever since my work experience stopped back in December. It feels so good to finally be out there earning my own money and treating myself and others. Life is going great at the moment(I can't remember the last time I said that!). I have the most amazing and supportive family and boyfriend and a great job where I have met some incredible, friendly people so I'm at quite a happy stage at the moment.

Just because I've been AWOL over the last few weeks it doesn't mean I've given up on my blog, I just love it too much. This blog is my little space on the internet where I can freely share my opinions and interests with everyone else. Yeah, maybe I will get negative comments once in a while but it'll never disappear, it's good to have a hobby and something you're commited to and interested in and this blog is one of mine.

I don't have a blogging schedule as such, I will upload a post as soon as an idea pops into my head as usual. I have really missed getting involved in my blog and the community. I've even dodged a few #bbloggers chats over the last few weeks and my skin routines been all over the place. What's wrong with me eh?

I can't wait to get back to my blog again and I am glad I still have so many supportive followers and lovely ladies on twitter that have still continued to chat to me since my blog disappearance. The blogging community really is an incredible thing to be involved in.

Anyway I hope you've all had a great day, or night even. I've had a lovely day, I've had a slight hair cut from my Aunty(she was a hairdresser) and I now have a fringe cut in and the ends trimmed off. Woo, healthy hair here I come!(here's hoping!). I also received my first Selfridges order, containing a few NARS goodies, how exciting! I will be getting a haul post up soon if you'd like to see what I've been purchasing since my disappearance on the blogging scene.

Have an amazing week!
